Getting Started
Phat Sac Score is a private cannabis experience tracker for adults 21 and older. Scan or manually log product labels, rate effects and dispensaries, and discover the cannabinoid and terpene profiles that work best for you.
Install the app
- Download PhatSac Score from the iOS App Store on any iPhone running iOS 16 or later.
- An Android version is in development; check back at score.phatsac.com for status.
Age verification (21+)
On first launch, you'll be asked to confirm you are 21 or older. This is required by US adult-use cannabis regulations and cannot be skipped. If you tap "Under 21," the app will close and you won't be able to create an account from this device.
Create an account
- Tap Sign up on the welcome screen and enter an email and password. Your PhatSac Score account is shared with PhatSac.com — the same credentials work in both places.
- You'll be asked to choose a username and an avatar icon. Both can be changed later from Profile → Settings.
- Already have a PhatSac.com account? Tap Sign in instead and use those credentials.
Account Help
I can't sign in
- Make sure you're using your PhatSac.com email and password — the app uses the same login.
- Check that you're connected to the internet (the sign-in screen needs a live connection).
- If you see a "Session expired" message, just sign in again — your data is safe on the server.
Reset my password
Visit phatsac.com/forgot-password on any browser, enter the email associated with your account, and follow the link in the email PhatSac sends you. The new password will work in the app immediately.
Update my profile
Open the Profile tab in the app, then tap Settings (gear icon) to change your username, avatar, or notification preferences. Changes save automatically.
I'm not getting push notifications
- Open the iOS Settings app → PhatSac Score → Notifications and confirm Allow Notifications is on.
- Inside the app, go to Profile → Settings → Notifications and confirm the deal-alert toggle is enabled.
- Notifications require location permission to deliver geo-targeted deals — if you've denied location access, deal alerts won't fire.
Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your Phat Sac Score account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it:
Option 1 — In the app (recommended):
- Open the Profile tab.
- Tap the Settings icon in the top right.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account, scoring history, points, milestones, and all personal data will be removed within 30 days.
Option 2 — By email:
- Email support@phatsac.com from the address tied to your account, with the subject line "Delete my account".
- We'll confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted: your account record, profile, all submissions and scores, points, milestones, Pattern Loop history, terpene preferences, and chat-room game records. Aggregated, de-identified statistics that contribute to community leaderboards are retained but cannot be traced back to you.
Scoring & OCR
How to score a product
- Tap the + button on the home tab to start a new score.
- Either point your camera at the product label / receipt / COA report and tap Scan, or tap Enter manually to type the details yourself.
- Review the extracted info on the next screen, fix anything the scan got wrong, and continue.
- Rate the effects, dispensary, and budtender on the guided scoring screens, then tap Submit.
Common scan issues
- Scan returns blank or wrong fields: Make sure the label is well-lit, in focus, and fills most of the frame. Hold still for a second after tapping the shutter.
- Terpene panel didn't come through: COA-style lab reports work best when you center the terpene table in the frame. If the printed total still doesn't match, you'll see an amber hint on the Review screen — tap any row to edit.
- "Daily scan limit reached": We cap free scans per day to keep the OCR service affordable. The limit resets at midnight UTC.
- Receipt scans don't capture terpenes: That's expected — receipts only carry purchase info, not lab data.
Editing or deleting a past score
Open Profile → Score history, tap the session you want to change, and use the edit / delete actions at the top of the detail screen. Deleting a single submission removes it from your history and from the community leaderboards.
Burner Rooms & Community
Burner Rooms are anonymous, ephemeral chat rooms with mini-games. Identities reset every time you join a new room and messages aren't stored after the session ends.
- Report a message: Long-press any message and choose Report. Reports go straight to our moderation queue.
- Block a user in-room: Tap their burner name → Block. They won't be able to interact with you for the rest of the session.
- Private rooms: Hot Box rooms require an invite code from the host before you can join.
- Day boundary: Streaks and daily room features roll over at 4:20 PM in the room's local timezone.
Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. We don't sell your personal information, we don't share your scoring history with advertisers, and camera images are never stored on our servers — they're passed to the OCR service and discarded.
